Friday in Shdema with our AFSI friends &

Sara Nachson on the aliya to Kiryat Arba Hevron –

with English simultaneous translation !

The upcoming weekly Tora portion of Chaye Sara talks about the first ownership in Erets Israel by Avraham Avinu.

This coming Friday, October 25th at 9:00 am in Shdema we will, please G-d, hear a fascinating lecture about the renewed Jewish community in Kiryat Arba Hevron by Sara Nachson. Sara acquired ownership in Hevron when she buried her 7 month old baby Avraham Yedidya in the ancient Jewish cemetery in Hevron. A heroic battle that Sara waged with her dead baby in her arms. With her determination and steadfastness Sara succeeded in reopening the ancient Jewish cemetery of Hevron in which are buried the holy victims murdered by Arabs in the 1929 pogroms, Rabbis and tsadikim of all generations.

The Nachson family , belonging to Chabad, were one of the first families to settle- as shelichim of the Rebbe- in 1968 in the military compound in Hevron. Sara, who was also one of the 13 women who entered Bet Hadassa , will tell us about these fascinating first days of the renewed Jewish life in Kiryat Arba Hevron.

Such a lecture no one should miss!

An exhibition of Baruch Nachson’s paintings will be displayed during the lecture.

We are delighted to announce that our dear AFSI friends, led by their wonderful leader Helen Freedman, will be joining us that morning .

THE LECTURE WILL BE SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATED into ENGLISH

JOINING THE PROTEST
