Who are the 50 who will get to lead the Tisha BeAv Walk?

Dear Friends,

This year, too, for the 26th time, we will be holding the Tisha B’Av Walk, which renews an ancient Jewish tradition of encircling the gates of Jerusalem

on the night of the mourning for the destruction of the Temple.

This year, however, due to the corona, the police only allows 50 people to attend this important event.

It is very important to continue the yearly tradition, in order to continue to receive approval for the Walk in the coming years.

The Walk will be led by Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem Mr. Arieh King.

Since your participation is very important to all of us , we will have a live broadcast of the  Walk on Arutz 7 and on our Facebook page. This way you will be an integral part of the walkers, you will hear the Eicha reading, follow the progress of the Walk, hear the words of Arieh King and the explanations  of  historian Arieh Klein who as every year will accompany the Walk and reveal to us historical details about various points along it.

Since the limited scope of the Walk does not significantly reduce the costs (amplification, live broadcast, fencing, ambulance, escort vehicle, etc.), the fifty walkers that will be privileged to walk will be the first 50 to raise / donate one thousand shekels ($300) each  to help cover expenses.

Alternatively, one can also sponsor a walker. A donation of one thousand shekels ($300) will turn a youth from the sovereignty youth movement into your personal representative in the Walk. Here too, of course, the sum will be earmarked for the production of the event and the associated expenses.

If you want to be one of the first to walk or sponsor a walker please click here : Donations are tax-deductible

The police are asking for the names of the walkers already in the coming days, so your mobilization is important to us today. Turn to family members, parents, uncles, cousins and be partners in finding the 50 who will lead this year’s Walk. Together we will preserve the tradition. For the sake of Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem and the Land of Israel.
