Members from the Sovereignty Movement gathered this evening (Saturday night) in front of the Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem to encourage and strengthen the Prime Minister before his meeting in the U.S. with the American President and senior members of his administration.

The activists came from all parts of the Land carrying Israeli flags and signs that read ‘Yes to sovereignty, no to a Palestinian state!’, seeking to strengthen the Prime Minister’s position in favor of the application of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the areas of settlement and against the establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of the Land.

Members of the Sovereignty Youth Movement carrying signs that read ‘Apply sovereignty in the government meeting’ were among those who attended the vigil. This is in accordance with the legal clause granting the government of Israel the authority to apply Israeli sovereignty over all parts of the territory of the Land of Israel.

Yehudit Katsover, one of the co-chairwomen of the Sovereignty Movement, emphasized to the attendees that their attendance at the gathering was an expression of thanks and appreciation for the Prime Minister for restoring Israel’s political discourse to the discourse of sovereignty and love for the Land of Israel.

To this she added that Netanyahu knew how to guard the Land of Israel during the Obama era and that he must continue to do this in the Trump era as well.

According to her, the steps of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the Jewish communities must be and will be only a first step in the process of sovereignty in the future.

Katsover and Nadia Matar, her partner in leading the movement, emphasized Netanyahu’s special status in the international arena and especially with U.S. President Donald Trump, as someone who “can do a lot for the Land of Israel and he will do it too. We must tell him to take his strength from the people and apply sovereignty”.

Another speaker at the event was Atty. Nili Nahuri, one of the directors of Israel Forever, who said that we must understand the difference between inheritance and heritage. We received the Land of Israel as inheritance and we are forbidden to give up even one centimeter of the Land of Israel. Any surrender of the Land of Israel will result in a terrorist base within the Land of Israel. We already have experience with this. There is already a terrorist base in Gaza and we will not allow the terrorists to build another base”, she said, calling on Netanyahu to apply sovereignty over the entire Land of Israel. “We do not need the agreement of the nations of the world. We are the sovereign”, she stated.

The major call that arose from the Sovereignty Movement’s strengthening vigil is for the Prime Minister to bring about the application of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley in tomorrow’s upcoming government meeting, where there is a clear majority for the step, while raising the matter for a vote in Knesset on Tuesday might be interpreted as political spin intended to embarrass the Blue and White party but no more than that.

The Sovereignty Movement expresses its confidence in the Prime Minister’s serious intentions to advance the sovereignty process, and this is the reason that we encourage him and call for raising the matter for a vote tomorrow.
