1111Last night, Women in Green activists hung “Sovereignty” signs on the signs forbidding Jews entrance to Area A.

This is in response to current initiatives to retreat from these areas.

The conflict among members of the government has arrived to the field.

Following the argument between government ministers and the prime minister over negotiations regarding a retreat of IDF forces from the territories of Area A, activists of Women in Green went out last night into the field and hung signs calling for the application of Israeli sovereignty on the cautionary signs at the entrance 3333to Area A.

The leaders of the movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, tell of the impetus that resulted in the nocturnal action: “During these days, immediately before the holiday of Freedom, when there is more and more talk of the IDF no more entering Area A, it is davka now the correct time to apply sovereignty over the Land of Israel”.

If the IDF does2222 not enter Area A it means a surrender of the area against the will of the people”, say the two women, and add: “Ministers Elkin and Bennett did well in preventing, for now, this terrible decision”.

According to them, “We must be extra aware of the danger that the territory will be usurped. This is why Women in Green activists hung signs calling for sovereignty on Route 60 (from Shem in the Northern Samaria till the Southern Hebron hills in the south) and on the red signs at the entry to Area A, signs cautioning Jews against entry into these areas. These signs are an outrage. Unfortunately, we did not fight when they placed these signs at the time and now there is talk about the IDF retreating from Area A. These red signs must be taken down immediately and we must apply sovereignty”.
