Shabbat prayers at Oz veGaon – we need you
To the residents of Migdal Oz, Alon Shvut, Efrat, Elazar and all other communities of the Gush
Thank G-d, since we have established ourselves at Oz veGaon in the month of Tammuz, we have been privileged to hold Shabbat prayers at the nature preserve, thanks to the amazing dedication of the dear Jews from Migdal Oz and Alon Shvut who come every week to complete the minyan. This is our opportunity to say thank you to Rav Rafi Tawil, to Rabbi Uri Samet, to Oded Kfir, to Shlomo ben Shalom, to Shimshon Halpert, to Yaakov Haimson, to Daniel Ryback and others.
To make it easier for those righteous people who come every week, we would like to enlarge the circle of worshipers at the nature preserve on Shabbat. We appeal to you, residents of the nearby communities, to join the minyan at Oz veGaon. There is an eruv Shabbat. There is also a Torah scroll.
The Shabbat Evening Prayer starts a half hour after candle lighting time. The Morning Prayer begins at 8:15 in the morning. Kidush after tefilla.
The walk from the southern Efrat intersection takes less than a half hour. From the southern Alon Shvut intersection it takes about a quarter of an hour and from Migdal Oz, about ten minutes. Please contact us to get the code for the gates at Migdal Oz.
We are interested in organizing a list of rotating participants of those residents of the area who are willing to commit themselves to coming to the prayers.
We would like to begin this coming Shabbat, Shabbat of the weekly Torah portion Emor adding new people to the tefilla-
Please send us an email or SMS to tell us which prayer you will come to (evening or morning) and whether you can read from the Torah.
With blessings,
The Oz veGaon Family
