Fascinating Friday in Shdema + treeplanting in memory of Fogel family HY”D
This coming Friday February 15th at 9:00 am in Shdema we will meet Sara Nachson, one of the heroes of Hevron.
Sara Nachson, together with her husband Baruch the famous painter, settled in Hevron at the very beginning of the renewed Jewish return to the City of the Patriarchs.
Being a family of Chabad (Lubavitch), they are always on a mission. Their house is always full of guests, adults and youth, religious and non-religious.
Sara heroically brought upon the opening of the ancient cemetery of Hevron when she carried her dead infant on her hands and defied then Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan. Details about this will be received in her lecture on Friday “The story of the opening of the Jewish cemetery in Hebron”.
Sara was also one of the 13 women who entered Bet Hadassa in 1979 and lived there for a full year with their children, which led to the reopening of Hevron for Jewish residence.
This lecture is a lecture not to be missed! The meeting with such a strong and yet gentle personality as Sara’s will leave a fantastic impression on each and one of the listeners
After Sara Nachson’s talk we will go and plant 5 trees on Road 60, across the community of Elazar- in memory of the 5 members of the Fogel family HY”D brutally murdered by Arab terrorists exactly two years ago.
Next Friday February 22nd, after the talk by Sara Barnea in Shdema we will drive to Abu Tor in Jerusalem to the families who were attacked this week by Arabs throwing Molotov cocktails at them and bring sweets and toys to the children.
Shdema is a military base between Har Homa and Tekoa, and is accessible by private car.
