The Bomb is Ticking
There is no getting away from it. Ehud Barak is acting in an unacceptable,
and irresponsible manner with regard to the safety and security of Jews in
Israel.
The risks that Barak is taking are totally incomprehensible and dangerous;
the prospects for peace with Arafat as a peace partner are nil; Arafat’s
record as a murderer and one who has never fulfilled a commitment agreed to
in writing should be clear to everyone, even Barak. The latest Arab
shootings of a child and four other visitors to Hebron, and the usual Arab
escape into Arafat’s Hebron haven, is but another bitter example of the
impotence and intolerable weakness of the Barak Government. The ritual
dance of demanding that Arafat produce the attackers who fled into his area
will result in the usual zero results. There is little doubt that if
Arafat was serious about the peace process, with the large number of his
police force in the area, these terrorists could be easily found and turned
over. That he does not do so, is an obvious indication to everyone, but
Clinton and Barak, that peace is not one of Arafat’s objectives.
Barak, no doubt, will trot out the same tired phrases of the need to take
“risks for peace” after this recent attack. Peres, during the wave of Arab
murders and bombings that occurred during his regime, specialized in such
an approach. The public turned him out of office as a result. Barak
resorts to the same empty and meaningless phrases. He tells us that such
terrorist acts as the recent shooting are meant to derail the “peace
process” and he will not allow that to happen. What a hacknayed old tune
that is! Barak, as usual, is not being honest with us. He knows the
attackers can be readily apprehended, but chooses not to come down hard on
Arafat.
What can we expect of a Prime Minister who bows to Arafat and releases
murderers with blood on their hands from our prisons? Barak simply will not
take the decisive steps necessary to fight terror; instead he gives
terrorists a “safe passage”. Less than a week has passed since the “safe
passage” road opened, and already 17 potential terrorists from Gaza who
used this road have chosen to disappear within Israel. Yet Barak is not
upset by this startling turn of events. Rather, unabashed, he has
announced that he will allow Hawatmeh, the Arab murderer of the Maalot
children, to enter Israel, because that is what Arafat demands.
Hawatmeh has not changed his murderous views as a condition for getting
permission to enter Israel. In fact, Hawatmeh has stated in an interview in
Jordan that “armed struggle” is an acceptable tool to “liberate land
occupied by the Zionist enemy”. Doesn’t Barak realize that Hawatmeh would
receive a hero’s welcome for the violent approach he is advocating, and
that he would incite Arabs to violence and to be against Barak’s “peace
process”?
Barak talks firmly and authoritatively, but his actions are inconsistent
with what he says. By his failure to act with regard to the recent
shootings near Kiryat Arba; by continuing to allow the “safe passage”
despite Arab misuse; by opening the King David (Shuhada) street in Hebron,
thus exposing its Jews to mortal danger; and by allowing the murderer
Hatwatmeh to enter Israel, he is leading us to a predictable explosion. The
bomb is ticking. Unfortunatley, Barak has placed plugs in his ears, so as
not to hear the dire warnings of what is about to happen.

The Unsolved and Unresolved Puzzle!
Leah Rabin was interviewed yesterday on the radio show of Dalia Yairi
on Kol Yisral, Channel 2. To a question Yairi said originated from a fax
of Nadia Matar and the Women In Green, Leah Rabin admitted that there were
still many unanswered questions surrounding the death of her husband.
In fact her daughter, MK Dalia Rabin-Philosoff, expressed her
unhappiness about the many important unanswered and open questions that
surrounds her father’s death in a recent article published in the November
1999 magazine issue of Olam Ha-Isha. There MK Rabin-Philosoff said over
and over again that she had serious doubts about who caused the death of
her father and how it actually occurred.
Now everyone knows that the Rabins are not friendly to Women In Green
and their Zionist orientation; that they would love to blame those “right
wingers” for all the ills that exist in Israel. Yet they themselves have
an identical position with the Women In Green on the unsatisfactory nature
of the explanation surrounding the death of Yitzhak Rabin and who indeed
was responsible for his untimely death. The time has come to answer the
many disturbing open questions that the surviving family of the Rabins and
the public have. Such an investigation will bring to an end a great deal
of the divisions that exist in this nation today. It will also end the
Left’s baseless attempt to blame Rabin’s assasination on the national camp.
Today, THURSDAY, November 4, 1999 at 12:00 noon at PARIS SQUARE,
(opposite the Kings Hotel) in Jerusalem, WOMEN IN GREEN will demonstrate,
asking for the re-opening of the inquiry into the circumstances of Yitzhak
Rabin’s murder, and who was actually responsible for it.

Incitement Against Women In Green
Elyakim Rubinstein, Esq. By Fax: 627-4481
Attorney General
29 Salah HaDin Street
Jerusalem, 91010
Dear Attorney General Rubinstein;
We called your office and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Yoram. We
advised him that we wished to file a criminal complaint for “incitement”
against the Yitzhak Rabin Center for Israel Studies. We were advised by a
friend of our organization in the States that on the Rabin Center’s
English Website on Internet which is:
after you press “extremist groups” and at the bottom of that page keep
pressing the arrow button to the right, there will appear a picture of the
late Prime Minister Rabin dressed in a Nazi uniform. There are no
identifiable people holding that poster, only hands; but they seem to be
the hands of men, not women. What is criminally inciteful, however, is that
below that picture is the following caption:
Demonstration of Women In Green – 26.3.95
Courtesy of Lavon Institute For Labor Research
Hadari (Photographer)
Today we called the Lavon Institute and spoke to Yael. She told us the
picture appeared in Davar, now defunct, which is in their archives; they
indeed supplied the Rabin Center with such a picture. However, they did
not put the caption below the picture. Yael says the Rabin Center did that.
It widely appears on the Internet all over the United States, England,
Canada and in fact, worldwide. That same picture is on the Rabin Center’s
Hebrew website, without claiming it was taken at a Women In Green
demonstration.
The contents of the caption under the picture is not only false but serves
to incite against, and cause great damages to our organization. We greatly
abhor the Rabin Center designating our Zionist group as extremist. It does
this by showing on their Website some pictures of other demonstrations we
held, where we are clearly identifiable. However, we never had a sign at
any of our demonstration with a picture of Rabin in a Nazi uniform. Nor
would we ever permit such a sign to be part of our demonstration. In the
antagonistic atmosphere that exists today, it is wrongful of the Rabin
Center to incite against Women In Green in this manner, by continuing to
publish and air this libelous accusation against our organization.
Unfortunately, we have found the police has never taken action against
previous legitimate complaints we have filed with them, and accordingly we
are turning to you so that the required action be taken.
Respectfully,
Ruth Matar

Fooling the Jews
WOMEN IN GREEN, among whose members there are many voters from New York who
have dual citizenship, will protest against the visit of Hillary Clinton.
We will be outside the Tel Aviv Museum, Shaul HaMelech Boulevard and
Weizman Street in Tel Aviv, at 19:15 to voice our opposition to this “new”
and dubious friend of Israel.
Hillary Clinton is one smart lady. She wants to be President. Therefore,
she will say anything to any particular Group that will lend itself to
obtaining that set objective. She strategically chose the upcoming
Senatorial race in New York as the first stepping stone towards reaching
her presidential goal. However, New York has an important Jewish vote and
that is a hurdle that she must leap over and “handle”.
The difficulty for Hillary is that she has never been a friend of Israel.
She has publicly come out for a Palestinian State, which as a sophisticated
and smart lady she knows would threaten Israel’s very existence. She very
well knows that hatred of Jews and Israel even now is an essential part of
Arafat’s educational system; moreover, Arafat’s hate propaganda in his
Media includes praise of the bomb makers who specialize in blowing up
Israel’s buses. Yet she has never leveled one word of criticism against
Arafat in that or any other regard, or for that matter against any Arab.
Her Arab guest list at the White House has included American Arab leaders
who are sympathetic to and support terrorist Hamas. She could find nothing
about Israel to publicly admire throughout the many years that she has been
in the White House.
But to garner the Jewish vote in New York she has to appear to tone down
her bias in favor of the Arabs, and make some Jewish “gestures”. She now
lets out of the family closet the inconsequential news that her
grandmother’s second husband was a Jew. And of course for these New York
voters, she is making the proscribed visit to Israel. After all these years
she suddenly awakened to recognize the status of Jerusalem; she recently
told the Jews that Jerusalem is Israel’s eternal capital; however, she is
not in favor of moving the U.S. Embassy to that capital. In that she is
consistent with her husband who broke his previous campaign promise to
move it. Her track record insures that she too will not keep whatever
promises she makes to the Jews in order to get into the Senate. If
elected, she would be the most pro-Arab Senator New York has ever had.
Unmasked, Hillary Clinton has proven herself again and again to have little
sympathy and understanding for Israel and the Jewish People. Don’t be
fooled by the Jewish “appointees” of her husband. Albright, Berger and the
like are Jews in name only, who lack loyalty to the Jewish People. Nor
should you be “taken in” by her deceptive sweet talk. Hillary’s visit to
Israel is just part and parcel of her New York campaign.

Fooling the Jews – II
WOMEN IN GREEN voiced their opposition to Hillary Clinton’s use of Israel
to promote her candidacy in the upcoming U.S. Senate race in New York. New
York has a vital Jewish vote she needs, and Hillary’s visit was therefore
aimed at that constituency. She chose to speak at a Rabin Center Memorial
in Tel Aviv on November 11, 1999, and our protest was held outside to
proclaim the fact that Hillary is no friend of Israel, nor the Jewish People.
She heretofore has publicly come out for a Palestinian State. As a
sophisticated lady, aware of Arafat’s murderous track record, and knowing
that he doesn’t honor written commitments, she surely realizes that such a
state would threaten Israel’s very existence. Moreover, her Arab guest
list at the White House has included known American Arab leaders who openly
support and are sympathetic to the terrorist group, Hamas. She also knows
that hatred of Jews and Israel is an essential part of Arafat’s educational
system; yet she has never aimed one word of criticism at Arafat in that or
any other regard. Her subsequent silence in Ramallah while a ludicrous
blood libel was made against the Jews, shows Hillary’s true colors.
Arafat’s wife accused the Jews of polluting the Arab water and air, and
Hillary was immorally silent throughout.
To garner the Jewish vote in New York she has to appear to tone down her
bias in favor of the Arabs, and make some Jewish “gestures”. She now lets
out of the family closet the inconsequential news that her grandmother’s
second husband was a Jew.
And of course for these New York voters, she is making the proscribed visit
to Israel.
In contemplation of her U.S. Senate race she belatedly recognized Jerusalem
as Israel’s eternal capital; however, she is not in favor of moving the
U.S. Embassy to that capital, just now. She is being consistent with her
husband who broke his previous campaign promise to move it. Her track
record insures that she too will not keep promises she makes. If elected,
she would be the most pro-Arab Senator New York has ever had.
Don’t be fooled by the Jewish “appointees” of her husband. Albright,
Berger and the like are Jews in name only, who lack loyalty to the Jewish
People. Nor should you be “taken in” by her deceptive sweet talk.
Hillary’s visit to Israel is just part and parcel of her New York campaign.

The Maon Fund
The Women in Green are launching a campaign to raise funds for
the families of Maon whose homes have been destroyed by the
Barak government.
Those young families had invested all their meagre savings in
building those houses on the Maon hilltop and now they have no home,
and no money.
Help those young families to rebuild their life. Their sacrifice was
for all of us, now it is our turn to help them.

A Zionist Response
Prime Minister Barak’s explanation of why he destroyed Maon is totally
unsatisfactory. It wasn’t democratic principles that were involved, but
ruthless action by a man who has lost contact with his People and thinks he
can militarily force Jews to obey his arbitrary dictates. In the process
he is killing the morale and spirit of his People.
The praise he received from Arafat for his actions in Maon tells us
everything about the merit of Barak’s actions. Arafat the immoral murderer
has learned well from Hitler who he admires by telling the “big lie” over
and over again until it is believed. He incredulously has the gall to
announce that it was Jews, not Arabs, who executed the recent murderous
attacks on Jews in Netanya; it is he, speaking through his wife, who
reincarnated the new blood libel that Jews poison Arab water and the air
the Arabs breathe.
Never mind that Arabs continue to dwell unmolested on the “firing range”
which is the claimed basis for the removal of the Jews from Maon. Barak
is only able to take tough measures against Jews, such as the pioneers of
his People at Maon, who have cultivated barren land and made it fertile.
Against the widespread illegal activity of Arab building throughout the
Land Barak is impotent. Nor will he address himself in any serious way to
have Arafat comply with the obligations he undertook under the Oslo,
Hebron, Wye, and Sharm El Shekq Agreements.
Barak has destroyed Jewish homes on the Maon Farm. Heartlessly leveled
them to the ground. Carried off the inhabitants and their friends in the
middle of the night. And as a final blow criminally charged them with
resisting the destruction of their homes and property. Barak is, in
effect, justifying Arab terrorists for having previously murdered Dov
Dribben, an American citizen, on this Jewish land at the Maon Farm. Dov’s
father, residing nearby, is a U.S. veteran of the Korean war.
How can we respond to this un-Jewish madness? We have the Zionist answer!
We have opened a bank account in behalf of those whose homes have been
destroyed by Barak. It is at the MAIN BRANCH or 001 Branch of the Mizrahi
Bank at 12 Ben Yehuda Street, Jerusalem, Israel. The account’s name is: ”
Families of MAON FARM.”
The account number is: 564 250.
We ask you to call us with your pledge. Or send or wire any sum you can
manage to the Mizrahi Bank, Main Branch in Jerusalem, specifiying that
account no. — 564 250. In the alternative send the money to us and we
shall see that it is deposited immediately in their behalf. Be generous!
It is your answer to this grievous wrong and anti-Zionist action that has
been taken by the Barak Government.

A Letter to Rudolph Giuliani
Honorable Rudolph Giuliani
Mayor of the City of New York
City Hall
New York, N.Y.
Dear Mayor Giuliani,
We are sending you by express mail herewith our color Ad we placed in the
International Tribune-HaAretz today, concerning Women In Green’s protest
demonstration in Tel Aviv related to the visit to Israel by Hillary
Clinton. In addition, we are also sending you additional photographs taken
at such demonstration, on Thursday evening, November 11, which you may
feel free to use in any appropriate manner you and your staff decide.
In the past, clearly distinguishable from your would be opponent Hillary
Clinton, you have shown impeccable moral courage by standing up to the
murderer of children and U.S. Marines, Yasser Arafat, and would not welcome
him in New York. In marked contrast, your would be opponent Hillary
immorally embraces and kisses Arafat’s wife after she resurrects old and
false blood libels against the Jews. Moral courage is a vital and
necessary attribute for holding office as a United States Senator.
Needless to say, our members living here in Israel, and those living in New
York, support your U.S. Senatorial candidacy. We consider you a long time
true friend of Israel and the Jewish People, and have no hesitancy in
proclaiming that fact to one and all. We recognize that your statements
about Israel, in contrast to those of Hillary, are not pre-election
statements calculated to win you votes. Your long time positive positions
on Israel are consistent, and show an awareness of virulent Arab hostility.
The Clintons’ acceptance of the murderer Arafat and receiving him and his
supporters at the White House, and Hillary’s support for the creation of a
Palestinian State, contradict their continuous rote statements of
commitment to Israel’s security and well being.
We wish you every success; all Israel would and should hang out a warm
welcome mat to a dear friend on any visit you choose to make in the future
to this Promised Land.
With blessings from Jerusalem,
Ruth and Nadia Matar*
* The above letter to N.Y.C. Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was faxed and also sent
by express mail to him. He apparently will be the Republican Candidate for
U.S. Senator in N.Y.

A Public Declaration for Eretz Yisrael
This declaration is being distributed by a number of right-wing organizations,
including Women in Green, Gamla Will Not Fall a Second Time, and others. The
Hebrew version will be printed in the Israeli press sometime next week. Anyone
wishing to support this declaration and sign it is asked to immediately email
Elyakim Haetzni
Please pass this on by email, websites, etc.
A PUBLIC DECLARATION
On the threshold of fateful decisions, we do declare:
The Land of Israel is the homeland of the Jewish People by virtue of our
Forefather’s legacy.
Recognition of a Palestinian State contradicts the very purpose of a Jewish
State creating a mechanism for evicting Jews from their land and planting an
alien regime within her boundaries.
An endorsement by an Israeli government of the premise that Eretz Yisrael is
the sovereign homeland of an alien people will not obligate the Jewish people,
nor will it recognize the legality of such a decision.
We call upon every coalition party with a sense of duty towards the Jewish
People not to share responsibility for such a decision.
We call upon the citizens of Israel to refuse to participate in this betrayal
of trust in any way. Do not become accessories to this crossing of the red
line, which even a majority cannot cross without violating the rules that hold
us together as one nation in one state.
We view the very notion of uprooting Jewish men, women and children from their
homes as an act of brutality, violence and barbarism that is palpably illegal
as a violation of fundamental rights of human dignity and liberty.
The world has never witnessed an act of ethnic cleansing perpetrated by a
nation upon itself. No nation would tolerate such an action and no democracy
would acquiesce to it.
We express our readiness to make our stand in a totally not-violent struggle,
against anybody who dares to transfer Jews from their homes anywhere in the
Land of Israel, on order to hand it over to foreigners.
We call upon the political parties of Israel to deny a majority to any
government which conspires to such action, and thus to prevent a tragic and
irreparable rift in the Jewish people.
We call upon every person and citizen of Israel to avoid taking part in any
capacity whatsoever in the criminal acts which the uprooting of Jews
represents.
Each one of us in each and every generation bears his share of responsibility
for the Jewish fate. Everyone is but a link upon which the fate of the entire
chain is dependent. Therefore, we are obligated to participate in this
struggle.
We will not allow a Jewish Prime Minister to bring upon the Jewish people in
the Land of Israel what foreign conquerors perpetrated upon us during our
history.
We will not allow the government of Israel to cause a third destruction and a
third exile from our land, during our lifetimes.
With the aid of G-d of Israel, we shall be delivered.
