                     Illusions About a Murderer

Barak and Clinton seem incapable of coming to terms with the fact that
Arafat is not a bona fide peace partner;  that Arafat by his nature is
an incorrigible murderer; and an irremediable liar.  Moreover, he is
tactically and resolutely dedicated to the destruction of Israel. Lying
is ingrained in Arafat’s culture and is not considered immoral in Arabic
society. And, whereas the Western World theoretically recognizes the
sanctity of Agreements, Arafat freely signs such accords because he
never considers them binding upon himself, nor on those he purportedly
represents.

2. Women In Green fully endorse and will participate in the following “Zo
Artzeinu”
activity on Thursday, January 11:

This will take place under ALL circumstances, unless War erupts
before. Do not pay attention to any newscasts or other information; if you
hear otherwise, it will be false.

The Time Has Come To Act – “THERE ARE NO WORDS”

THE GOAL
To show the entire world, and the Israeli government in particular, that:

1) Am Yisrael is faithful to Jersalem and Har Ha’Bayit.
2) Life cannot continue “as normal” when they are plotting to give these
away to the enemy.

THE METHOD
A convoy of vehicles from all corners of the Land towards Jerusalem
(JM), stopping of traffic on all of the nation’s roads while emitting horn
blasts, and a final “silent” ceremony at the foot of Har Habayit (HH)

EARLY PREPARATIONS
   1. Every Location should arrange groups of 5 cars, each with a leader.
Each member must know who is in their group, and the groups should know who
the other groups are, or from where they are leaving.
   2. Do not identify your vehicles. No signs, flags, banners or extra
stickers for this event. Each group should leave from a separate location,
known only to its leader and the Location leader.
   3. People without cars should join in with people in cars.

STEPS OF THE ACTIVITY
   1. THURSDAY, 16th of TEVET (JANUARY 11, 2001) at 16:30, each group leaves
together from their meeting point towards JM.
   2. At 17:00 exactly, at the sound of the “beeps” from the news, all
groups should stop their cars (slowly, without causing damage to any cars
behind) REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU HAVE REACHED. The passengers should get out
and stand silently, while the driver blows the horn for 2 full minutes.
   3. People who are not in car groups can honk their horns in their
parking spaces.
   4. After the horns are silent, continue on your way to JM at a speed of
25 Km/hour, all the while, continuing long horn blasts.
   5. When you reach JM, park your car as close as possible to Har HaBayit,
even if this means parking illegally.
   6. Continue by foot to the area at the entrance to the Kotel that is
directly opposite the Sha’ar Ha’Mugrabi entrance to HH [where the “tourist”
ramp is up to the entrance of HH].
   7. Stand “WITHOUT WORDS” for 30 minutes, and then leave. People will be
arriving at all hours of the day.

RULES OF BEHAVIOR
   1. Do not, under any circumstances, get involved in verbal or physical
arguments with the Police or any other person.
   2. If the Police want to arrest you — let them, and be happy knowing
that you went to prison for the crime of loving JM and HH. Tell the police
that you will gladly accompany them.
   3. Do not bring your Teudat Zehut (identity card). Do not give
your name, or ANY other information. For every question you are
asked, answer, “ANI YEHUDI” [I am a Jew].

            Silencing Women in Green

The Labor Party is trying to silence the Women in Green.

On Monday, January 8th 2001, the following item appeared in the
Hebrew daily Ha’aretz on page 4A:
(the following is a literal translation):

Title:The Labor party demands to dissolve the “Women in Green”
by Mazal Mualem

Last week the Labor Party made a motion to the Amuta (non-
profit organization)registrar, Amiram Bouget, calling for the
dissolution of the “Women in Green”, claiming that in their action
and activities there is incitement and sedition against the Prime
Minister, Ehud Barak, and also a call to resort to violence.
In addition, the Labor Party also turned to Police Inspector
General, Shlomo Aharonishky, asking him to open an investigation
against the “Women in Green”. According to Ofir Pines, chairman of
the Labor Knesset faction, the movement is spreading stickers on
which is written: “Indict the Oslo criminals ” and  “Barak
rips out our heart”, and thus the [Women in Green] movement is
calling for severe violence and bloodshed.

————————————————

The Labor Party is obviously in a panic. They know they are going to
lose the elections and therefore they are using the well-known
bolshevic tactic of trying to silence any voice that opposes them and
that tells the truth to the people.

Let it be clear: Nobody will succeed in silencing or closing down
the “Women in Green”!

We represent the majority of the People of Israel who love their land
and their Jewish Heritage. Our “crime” is that we are “Zionists
without apology”. We are proud to say outloud what the majority of
the People want to hear:

The Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel forever and no Jew
has the right to give away any part of Eretz Yisrael.

In reaction to this bolshevic attempt to supress free speech and
political dissent, we call upon all lovers of Israel, of democracy
and of freedom of speech to answer the Labor Party’s assault by
joining Women in Green, and supporting our efforts to bring the truth
to the public.

 Ruth and Nadia Matar

—————————————————

Dr. Steven Plaut’s reaction to the Labor Party’s move
against Women in Green:

1.  One of the repeated predictions in these quarters has been that
the Israeli Labor Party would react to its sagging in the polls by
assaulting freedom of speech in Israel and by trying to criminalize
its political opponents.  After all, the Labor Party is a
fundamentally anti-democratic party.   Its indifference to the rules
of democracy were apparent in the McCarthyist assault on freedom of
speech in Israel after the Rabin assassination, and the attribution by
the Labor Party propaganda machine of that assassination to the
exercise of free speech.  It is apparent in the weekly petitions by
the Labor Party’s chief McCarthyists to the judicial system to indict
everyone with whom they disagree.  It is apparent in the willingness
of the Labor Party junta of General Barak to pursue a treaty of
capitulation and national suicide with a 22% support rating in the
polls and with no Knesset support and an election weeks away.  It is
apparent in the Third-World dirigiste kleptocracy Labor has always
practiced as economic policy, and in the trade-union crime and
terrorism it has practiced through the Histadrut.

I also predicted that the Leftist McCarthyists would not be
content with mere persecution of “extremists” like the Kahanists.
(As you know, Bill Clinton just helped out his buddy Barak by
ordering the FBI to raid the offices in Brooklyn of the “terrorist”
organization of followers of Meir and Benjamin Kahane.)   Not content
with going after such “extremists”, the Labor junta is now targeting
mere protesters against its policies, in a desperate attempt to
discredit the anti-Oslo opposition.

Friends, it is now official.  Yesterday the Israeli Labor Party
junta filed a petition with the Ministry of Justice’s registrar of
non-profit organizations to ban the “Women in Green”, the valiant
anti-Oslo protest organization.  The reason?   Can’t you guess by
yourself?   “Criminal incitement” of course.   Incitement and
“sedition” against Ehud Barak, in the words of the petition.   On what
grounds?  The “Women in Green” had put up stickers and banners that
read “Indict The Oslo Criminals” and “Barak is Tearing out our Heart”
(referring to Jerusalem), and this was obviously a clear and open call
for violence.  The initiator of the petition?  Ophir Pines, the number
one Labor junta McCarthyist, of course.

Since the Labor Party junta wishes to indict everyone with whom
it disagrees, and since it has defined “incitement” as the
saying of something with which Yossi Beilin and Shimon Peres
disagree, let us get this over with.

   INDICT THE OSLO CRIMINALS!!

Ok, guys, come and arrest me!

                       An Appeal for Jonathan Pollard
                            From: Yisrael Medad
I served as the coordinator of the Knesset Lobby on behalf of Jonathan Pollard
between 1987 and 1994.  I continue to remain a member.  I visited him in
his prisons at Marion and Butner.

At the urging of Avi Farhan (more later), I wish to point out to you and
through you to tens of thousands of others, Jews and non-Jews, that there
are eight (8)days left for U.S. President Bill Clinton to use his
constitutional
authority to grant clemency to Jonathan Pollard.  Article II, Section 2 (1)
states
“the President shall…have power to grant reprieves and pardons for
offenses”.

If everyone sent but one letter, e-mail or snail, to the White House, with
a simple and respective request that Clinto do so use that power, at least
we know we didn’t forget Jonathan.

This is being done as a humanitarian gesture – Jonathan has served longer
in comparison to any similar instance of a like crime; he has expressed
remorse; he has used all other legal avenues; his case was unfairly
dealt with by the prosecution and in his federal appeal, the rejection was
technical with one judge expressing severe doubts that justice was done.

                 Peres Equates the Actions of
President George W. Bush With Those of Arafat

It seems that the actions of former Governor of Texas, President Bush
are equivalent to those of the Executioner Arafat.  In an interview by
Shelley Yachimovich on her show on Channel 2 on January 13, Peres found
indistinguishable the 169 executions in Texas from those of Arafat in Gaza.

It apparently makes no difference to Peres that prior to the Texas executions
there had been a full and fair trial, and the defendants were able to, and
did, appeal from their respective verdicts.

Peres as one of the architects of Oslo, resurrected the murderer Arafat and
irresponsibly gave guns to his Army.  To protect his protege Arafat, Peres
made foolhardy, unwarranted, and unjustified comparisons, and thereby caused
grave damage to the Jewish People and to Israel.

                     Help Defeat Barak

Over the next three weeks, till election day, Women in Green are
extending their activities and are calling upon all of you to join:

* In addition to our weekly Sunday morning demonstration in front of
the Prime Minister’s offices;
* and in addition to our “Erets Yisrael Broadcasts” truth- mobile (our
Women in Green car that travels daily, with volunteers, around the country,
with microphones on the roof of the car, playing short audiotapes and
handing out literature and stickers to the passers-by).

* We have just printed 50,000 flyers with the pictures of all victims
of the Oslo war that erupted this past Rosh Hashana. (See attachment).
The text says:
THE “PEACE” of BARAK and PERES is KILLING US!
Every 60 hours an Israeli citizen is killed by Palestinians – this is
the pace we got used to over the past 3 months – and in total: 46
murdered – 73 children became orphans – 19 widows and widowers –
hundreds of wounded and handicapped for life – this is not the ‘El
Aksa intifada’ – this is WAR.

We plan on handing out all of these flyers to the public till the
February 6th election. We need your help! Join us.
In JERUSALEM we will be, for the next 3 MONDAY MORNINGS, from 11:00
am till 1:00 o’clock at the MASHBIR, spreading around the different
intersections, handing out the attached flyer and our sticker “Eretz
Yisrael L’Am Yisrael” (The Land of Israel Belongs to the People of Israel).

To those who cannot join on Monday morning, or those who live outside
of Jerusalem: call some friends, make your own little group of 3-4
people, call our office (02-6249887), we will get you the material,
and then go out to the streets at a time convenient for you.

The upcoming elections are crucial elections.
These are not elections between two individuals, Sharon and Barak.
These are elections where the people of Israel will vote between two
approaches:
* between Zionism or Post-Zionism
* between a Jewish State or a secular state of all its citizens
* between keeping a united Jerusalem or dividing Jerusalem
* between keeping the Temple Mount or abandoning it to the enemy
* between keeping all the yishuvim or uprooting 100,000 Jews from
  their homes
* between keeping the Jordan valley or abandoning it to the enemy
* between fighting for the right of Jews to their homeland or
agreeing to the “right of return” for Arabs, flooding pre-67
Israel with hundreds of thousands of Arab so-called refugees
* between fighting the enemy or capitulating to him
* between eradicating terror or caving in to terror by giving them
more land and more guns to kill us with.

According to all the polls, the majority of the Israeli people is
sane and opposes the suicidal approach of Barak and Peres.
We have to make sure they all come out on February 6th and hand
Barak, and the other Oslo criminals, an overwhelming defeat.

Choose an activity suitable to you and join us. Just don’t stay home.
“It is not up to you to finish the work, neither are you exempt from
starting it” (Pirkei Avot).

                Injustice in Israel

A few weeks ago, I received the following two letters.
Please take the few minutes to read them.
(They are a literal translation of the Hebrew.)

We are talking about two separate stories (one story that happened in
Itamar and one in Eli) of families who are suffering tremendously
because the husbands are injustly in jail and/or under expensive
legal procedures….just because they are Jews from the “wrong
political side” persecuted by a leftist justice system.

Nobody speaks about it….it is our duty, among the many other
causes we took upon ourselves, to try to help these families
financially and emotionally. Call them to give them strength, write
to them; anything… Let us just not stay indifferent.

Please forward to others.
Sincerely,

Nadia Matar

To: Ms. Nadia Matar
From Yael Tenne
Itamar – Samaria

Further to our telephone conversation, I am sitting down and
committing to writing the matter about which we spoke.

About two years ago, a group of people came together to live in
Itamar, in the [Samaria] hills. We all regarded as supremely
important the sanctification of these lands by a maximal amount of
Torah, commandments, and good deeds, so that by their merit we would
be worthy of these lands. Some of these people, including ourselves,
are large families (Tenne – 10 children; Dagani – 8 children).

On Sukkot this year, on the second day of Hol ha-Moed, Kibbutz
Hafetz Hayyim organized a vacation day for the inhabitants of the
yishuvim of the eastern slopes of the Samaria hills because of the
security situation.[translator’s note: As an act of solidarity, many
kibbutzim have invited residents of Judea, Samaria and Gaza for a
day of fun]. So many families from our settlement [Itamar] went,
so that none of those left in Itamar knew who was present, if at all.

Suddenly, more than 100 Arabs from the village of Beit Furik marched
towards Itamar, up the hill, armed with clubs, axes, and saws. They
came under the pretext of harvesting olives, but they did not stop in
the olive grove. They came up to the road that connects the
settlement with the hills, where area 851 meets the main road.

A woman from the nearby hill was driving on her way to the grocery
store and saw the mob. She continued on her way, and the first person
she encountered was my brother, Yaron Dagani, who was with his
two-year-old son. She told him that there were Arabs on the hill, and
that he should see what to do about that. Yaron did not know their
number, he did not imagine how many there were. He left the
baby in his house, took his weapon, informed the army outpost, and
went to see what it was all about.

When he arrived there, and saw what an unacceptable mass was standing
opposite him, when he did not know if anyone besides him was on the
hill, he shouted in Arabic to the Arabs to leave. Not only did they
not leave, they approached him, screamed “Itbah el-Yahud [death to
the Jews],” and made motions of slaughtering and all kinds of
military movements, until they came within several meters of Yaron.

Yaron wanted to deter them, on the one hand, and also to summon help.
He fired several rounds in the air, and when he saw that his
ammunition was running out – and what would happen? – he fired in
their direction.

At that time Gaddi Tenne, my husband, stood in the synagogue,
reciting the Shemoneh Esreh prayer. He hears shots. Our
thirteen-year-old daughter, Ahinoam, was alone in the mobile home, 50
meters from where things were happening. He knows that everyone has
gone to kibbutz Hafetz Hayyim for a day of fun.  He is certain that
the Arabs are firing on Point 851 (where his caravan is located). He
concludes his prayer, runs from the synagogue, meets an additional
person with a baby in one hand and a rifle in the other. Gaddi takes
the rifle, and asks the person to call the soldiers. He arrives at
the scene, sees the mob, but not Yaron. He fires a number of rounds
in the air.

In the meantime, the police arrive, and soldiers and officers also
arrive. The Arabs claimed that someone was killed. No one sees the
body; they claim they buried him an hour after it happened. Yaron and
Gaddi are arrested and charged with murder. They are released under
limiting conditions.

The left is not allowing the case to be closed. We were forced to take
a lawyer, whose fee, “modest” in relation to his colleagues, is
$30,000.

Not much time passed, before Jibril Rajub (PLO Chief of Police)
proclaimed vengeance, wanting the heads of Gaddi Tenne and Yaron
Dagani. And now the ruling by our rabbi calls for security, and this
too, God be blessed, costs a great deal of money. [Translator’s note:
Because the PLO Jibril Rajoub called to kill Gadi and Yaron, their
Rabbi said they cannot go out without a bodyguard; that too costs
money, in addition to the legal suit].

And now we are encompassed by children who have a lot of needs – like
any children, and the restrictions on the entire populace, and on us
as individuals, in the days of riots and bloodshed, obviously
pose difficulties for us all. To such an extent that the simple and
minimal everyday expenses are harmed, despite all the loans that we
have taken for these needs, and that have to be repaid.

And therefore we call to you from this distress, to help bear the
tremendous burden of the Tenne and Dagani families, who are fighting
for their lives within the entire people of Israel. Our “crime” has
been that our husbands defended our yishuv from an Arab lynching
mob.

To whom it may concern,

On October 11, 2000, in the middle of harsh violent occurrences
related to the latest intifada, a terrorist attack took place at the
entrance to the settlement of Eli. A Palestinian ran over and killed
an inhabitant of Eli, Alon Zargari, may the Lord avenge him, as Alon
waited for a lift at the bus stop.

Continuing the policy of restraint, and with the goal of preventing
an escalation of the events or a response by the Jews, the
police quickly pronounced the event to be an innocent traffic
accident.

My husband, Alex Garbash, was on his way to work at the time, and
was the sole witness to the attack, and he called for an ambulance
and the police. Alex gave an account of this to the police forces who
arrived at the scene. He was also interviewed by the media, and
insisted that this was a deliberate attack, and not a traffic
accident.

To our amazement, after Alex continued to stick to his
version, [that it was a terrorist attack and not a traffic accident]
he was arrested by the police and charged with the manslaughter(!) of
Alon, of blessed memory. The police accused my husband of
having thrown stones at the Arab automobile; and that those stones
struck the car. According to the police, as a result of being hit by a
stone, the Arab driver lost control of his vehicle and then ran over
Alon Zargari, of blessed memory.

These charges are totally baseless. There is no sign of damage to the
vehicle, nor were stones found on the road. And the attacking driver
“does not remember anything.” But there is a serious indictment: my
husband, together with another resident of Eli, Moshe Attia, have
been accused of manslaughter!!! [ Moshe was the one who dropped off
Alon at the “trempiada”- the place where people hitch for a ride].

The facts described above are nothing if not worrying: this is a
political indictment meant to keep the indicted individual from
speaking the truth, that is contrary to the political interests of
the state. This method of silencing individuals was well suited to
the Soviet Union of the 1970s, but not to a country that presumes to
be democratic and free.

Since October 11th 2000, my husband, Alex Garbash, together with
Moshe Attia, are incarcerated in the jail in Ariel, under very
difficult conditions, despite his poor state of health, and despite
my being in pregnancy bed rest after fertility treatment, and
remaining alone with a year-old baby.

Our family was left without the main breadwinner, and suffers from a
severe lack of money, in light of the heavy burden of payment to the
lawyer. I therefore was compelled to return to work and stop the
pregnancy bed rest. There is a Supreme Court decision that anyone
suspected of involvement in the events of the past few months will be
held in jail until the conclusion of the legal proceedings against
him. In his decision Justice Heshin wrote: “Possibly, when the land
will be at rest and spirits will cool down, it would be appropriate
to reconsider this.” It is well-known and clear that whether the land
will be at rest or not is dependent upon Arafat. And therefore, our
family’s fate is dependent upon the goodwill of the “president” from Gaza,
all in accordance with the ruling of the Israeli court.

My husband’s and Moshe’s trial will be lengthy and difficult, and
will stretch out over a long period. He states that he will do
everything possible so that the truth will come to light, and the
terrorists will receive their recompense. I turn to you in the hope
that you will be able to aid, both in financing the lawyer’s fee, and
in drawing the attention of the public to the injustice and lack of
political impartiality on the part of the authorities.

Sincerely, and thanking you for your attention and assistance,
Taina Garbash

A joint bank account has been opened for the three families (the
Garbash family, the family of  Moshe Atiah, who was also
indicted on the same charge and who has a wife and 6 children aged
2 to 12 years old- and the family of Alon Zargari, of blessed
memory):

Our Brothers’ Blood is Crying Out to Us from the Earth!

   Demonstration and March

Jewish blood is being spilled like water.
Every 60 hours a Jew is murdered by Arabs.

Since the “Oslo War” broke out this past Rosh Hashana
52 Israeli civilians and soldiers were murdered.
83 children were orphaned.
21 people lost their spouses.
Hundreds of wounded became life-long criples.
Since the Oslo “Peace” Accords in 1993, 544 Israelis have been murdered.

Barak and his government continue to negotiate with the murderer
Arafat, whose importance is magnified in Arab eyes with every murdered
Jew. The Barak government has already promised to give away, after the
elections, practically all of our nation’s historic assets.

Two days before the elections, SUNDAY morning, Feb. 4th 2001
We will have our weekly demonstration (#36) at 8:30am
In the Rose Garden in Jerusalem, opposite Barak’s office.
At 10:15am we will MARCH from Barak’s office to Barak’s
residence in Rehavia.  Each participant in the March will hold a name
of a person killed since Oslo. At Paris Square we will hold a vigil
and light candles in memory of those killed.

Together we will cry out on behalf of our brothers and sisters:
“Stop the killing! We have had enough of this intolerable slaughter.
No more decimation of Jewish families!”

Sponsored by Women in Green 02-624-9887
With families of Victims of Arab Terror

The march has a police permit.

Note:
The police has said that it will allow us to walk in the
street (instead of the sidewalk) if we get at least 1000
people.

So, come one, come all!

The Israel Action Alliance calls for volunteers for poll watching

The Issue

As you know, the upcoming Feb. 6 Israeli election is a most critical one.

The results will send a message to the entire world as to where Israelis
stand on the issue most dear to our nation – Jerusalem herself.

As many Dr. Aaron Lerner and other political analysts have pointed out, it
is not enough to squeak out a victory. We must aim for the largest landslide
Israel has ever known.

If there is such a landslide, no subsequent Israeli politician will ever
dare touch the issue again (at least soon), the US will realize that we
won’t be easily bullied into this kind of a deal, and the world at large and
the Arab world specifically will bestow grudging respect on an Israeli
public that is unified on at least one issue.

Such a victory cannot be taken for granted. We must put in effort to help
achieve it, with Hashem’s help . But our opponents are also looking for
victory, and they have demonstrated in the past that they are capable of
less than gentlemanly tactics. We’re focusing on one thing, because of its
vital importance: supervision of the polling centers.

Our Plan

On Election Day in May 1999, there were numerous reports of questionable
activities at the polling centers themselves.

Specifically, left-wing election supervisors were reportedly hassling voters
in religious areas by examining their documents to an unreasonable extent,
among other tactics. The delays were such that some citizens returned home
without voting.

Meanwhile, voting in Arab villages was widely reported to be with little or
no Jewish supervision, and voting there was, shall we say, somewhat suspect.

As the saying goes, “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on
me.” Since they got away with it in 1999 with nary a peep, they’re likely to
try it again this time. If they do and we do nothing about it, we will have
only ourselves to blame.

Election Day is a national day off; there’s no excuse not to volunteer at
least on that day, and a lot of people will be more than happy to. Yes, we
need drivers to get the elderly, etc. That’s laudable. But we are also
trying to organize strong groups – we’re aiming for three to five volunteers
at each location – for supervisory work at voting booths in the following
sectors:

Each and every Israeli Arab area
Each and every kibbutz/moshav and other left-wing strongholds
Each and every religious area to keep the left’s supervisors under control.
Optimally, each group should possess video/audio recording equipment to
record the goings on.

Chances of Success

About 50 people have already pledged to volunteer on Election Day through
this Israel Action Alliance initiative, and we aim for 200 by February 6.
Please note – as of January 24, the Likud database had only 350 volunteers
without us for pollwatching, so we can truly make a vital difference.

People in the assigned group will receive training to know what to look for
and how to deal with the variety of challenges they may face depending on
locale, from questionable IDs to harassment of voters to outright violence.
We will deal with these and all questions in serious training sessions.

Organization of Election Day volunteers will be handled by the Likud, headed
by General (Reserves) Meir Dagan and Gil Avtovi (03-6210613), with Israel
Action Alliance volunteers running interference as necessary.
