IDF is really in SHDEMA

Share

The IDF is officially back in Shdema 24 hours a day!

At the beginning we were skeptical- will the IDf really return to Shdema?

Will there really be a 24-hour presence at the site?

These and other questions worried us and therfor we continued to go up to Shdema- to check, to encourage the soldiers, to show a Jewish presence and here, just yesterday, on the eve of Pessach, in our daily checkups of the area- we finally see the IDF position- a watchtower, a vibrating generator, a huge water cistern, and soldiers who answer our call. (see attached picture).

Clearly the soldiers great us immediately by saying: “This is a closed military zone”- but this is one of the rare instances we are happy to hear that it is a closed military zone. Finally the IDF returned to Shdema.

We did not accomplish all our wishes but we certainly succeeded in preventing the Arabs and the anarchists from taking over Shdema; we were promised that no Arab hospital will be built there.

And thus, yet another site in the land of Israel stays in Jewish hands and will, please G-d,provide Jewish continuity between Har Choma in Jerusalem and Gush Etzion. The drivers on the road will feel a bit safer and Mother Rachel, Rachel Imeinu, lying so close to Shdema in Rachel’s tomb, will continue to safeguard her sons and daughters.

This is our opportunity to thank all the members of Knesset and ministers who acted on behalf of keeping Shdema in Jewish hands, who came to Shdema, encouraged and supported our struggle and pushed the issue of Shdema in the Knesset, in addition we also thank the hundreds of activists from around the country, the tens of lecturers, the Gush Etzion and Efrat local councils, the Arutz 7 crew, to all thank you and a happy Freedom holiday!

The activity in Shdema is not over- we will continue to come to Shdema for special occasions , safeguarding the state lands from Arab and international take-over.

Now our activities are in Netzer, between Alon Shvut and Elazar. Follow our postings.

Chag sameach!
