What Is Ezra Nawi Doing – Again – in Netzer?

During the course of our daily patrols on the hills of Netzer, between Alon Shvut and Elazar, to inspect the plots that were planted in recent years as part of the struggle to guard state lands, yesterday, Monday, December 9,2012, we came across a group of Israelis, headed by Ezra Nawi, who were going around on the site with cameras.

Ezra Nawi – a provocateur who continually incites in the southern Hebron hills, Samaria, and also Netzer. His presence at Netzer lit a red light for us.

As is common knowledge, all the plots at Netzer are included in an “expulsion decree” from the Civil Administration. Thanks to intensive activity by many good people, the situation has been frozen. Most of the plots of state lands at Netzer have been cultivated. Olive trees, grape vines, and pomegranate trees have been planted on them, and now ongoing maintenance is being conducted.

Yesterday’s appearance by the provocateur Nawi must ring all the alarm bells.

His visit might be connected with the plan to construct hundreds of housing units for the nearby Arab village Hirbet Zechariah, a plan that is being fought by the Gush Etzion Regional Council and activists from the area, to prevent its implementation. Hundreds of housing units for Arabs in the heart of Gush Etzion will split the Gush’s continuity.

The quiet on the ground is misleading. When Ezra Nawi is around, a warning must be sounded.
