The Sovereignty Movement Praises Minister Ben Gvir for his decision, displaying national responsibility*
The Sovereignty Movement expresses its praise for National Security minister Ben Gvir in acceding to the Prime Minister’s request to remain in his position as Minister in the Israeli government.
“Minister Ben Gvir’s decision might entail paying a political price, but it expresses national responsibility and the understanding that leaving the government and causing instability in the coalition would be rewarding anarchy and those who oppose the judicial reform and who desire to see the government fall and a leftist government arise in its place”, according to the movement.
The movement also adds that the Prime Minister’s decision to freeze the legislative process constitutes a significant political challenge for all members of the coalition, most of whom argue quite correctly for the need to apply reform even now, but understand the importance of a nationalist right-wing government that expresses the will of a majority of the people.
“The Israeli majority wants a proper democratic, Jewish and Zionist judicial system, and we are sure that the day will soon come when the work of legislation leading Israel to this goal will be done as well. For now, we will accept the Prime Minister’s decision, which stems from the responsibility to unite the people, but we will continue to demand that the government, the ministers and the Prime Minister complete, as soon as possible, the process that they have begun.
The People of Israel needs this in order to realize its sovereignty over its Land”.
