Annual Events Program
2011-2012

The holidays are behind us. Plentiful rains, with G-d’s help, are before us, and Eretz Israel awaits redemption, fruitful activity, and the expansion and deepening of our possession of it.

This year we have decided to concentrate efforts on the Eitam hill, Efrat’s future neighborhood.

The Eitam hill is situated to the North-east of the long “sausage” that is Efrat. The builders of Efrat did not envisage any problem with Eitam. They thought that we would build the distant neighborhoods, and that the closest neighborhood to Jerusalem – Eitam – would certainly be built. But then, with the construction of the separation fence, the hill was torn away from Efrat. The fence was not built, thank G-d, but the Eitam hill was not recognized as a part of Efrat. After stubborn battles, its lands were declared state lands, but there still are no building permits.

The Local Council heads and members of the moetsa have been working for many years for the inclusion of Eitam in Efrat’s building plans.

The Committee for the Development of Eitam and Women in Green have decided to concentrate efforts to increase the Jewish presence on Eitam by educational, cultural, and agricultural activity on the hill.

Below is a schedule for activity at Eitam – we will be at Eitam three times each month, and at Netzer once a month, close to Rosh Hodesh. All lectures are in Hebrew.

The presence of each of us is extremely important. The Arabs must understand that we have determination and consistency, the IDF must see dedication, and the land must once again become used to its true owners.

We made efforts that the speakers on Eitam will be Efrat residents, so that the involvement will be great and effective.

We wish to thank all the lecturers, all the activists, and, with G-d’s help, we will do and succeed!

A flyer in Hebrew and English, mentioning all lectures and their dates, was distributed in all the mailboxes in Judea. For those who wish to get the flyer by snail mail, please email us your name and address.
