Dear Friends,
For an opening bid of 1500 NIS ($500), you can acquire a beautiful wooden bench on the historic Path of the Patriarchs (Derech Avot) in Gush Etzion. Ten benches will be situated this week , in honor of Tu Bishvat, among the vineyards planted by us in Netzer over the past two years, to stop the illegal Arab takeover of state lands.
Plaques affixed to the benches will bear the donor’s name and any dedication the donor wishes to make. The money raised will go towards the redemption of more state lands for the Jewish People and the planting of more vineyards.

FRIDAY JANUARY 21st, 2011- Tu Bishvat in Netzer
PLANTING TREES ON THE HILLS-PLANTING VALUES IN THE HEART
In Netzer, among vineyards aflame in fall colors, winds Derech HaAvot, the Path of the Patriarchs. Over the past two years we have planted hundreds of trees alongside its pathway to preserve State Lands from Arab encroachment.
Most recently, during Hanukah, we held an additional agricultural camp with 50 youth, mostly on one-year programs from abroad, who connected to the Land of Israel via the calluses on their hands.
Please G-d ,On Friday, the 17th of Shvat, 21.1.11 (the day after Tu B’Shvat) at 9 a.m., we will have a planting and dedication ceremony.

To encourage the Jewish presence on Derech HaAvot, we will plant benches as well as olive trees and grape vines. Visitors will now be able to sit and relax as they conjure in their mind’s eye Avraham Aveinu passing by on his way to Hebron from Shechem, also stopping to rest and daydream about his sons and the sons of his sons who will one day walk this same path.
