G-d willing, this coming Sunday, the 4th of Shevat, January 17th, at 7:00 pm Israel time, we will have the privilege of hearing a fascinating Zoom lecture in Hebrew by Prof. Haim Gvirtzman.
Professor Haim Gvirtzman, a resident of Dolev, is a prominent hydrologist and member of the faculty at the Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University. He is one of the most prominent experts in the field of hydrology in Israel. In the past, Professor Gvirtzman has served as Director of Mekorot, and for the past eight years has been a member of the Water Authority Council. He served for a long time as a consultant to the Joint Water Committee for Israel and the Palestinians. He was a member of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority council and has won many prizes for excellence on account of his achievements. He is considered an authority in the field and his book, “Water Resources in Israel”, is a foundational book for the study of hydrology in Israel.
