Tuesday with Mitzpe Kramim and Friday in Oz veGaon with MK Shuli Mualem
Mitzpe Kramim
Today, Tuesday, people from Mitzpe Kramim will complete their three-day vigil near the prime minister’s residence with a rally and procession to the Western Wall. The rally will begin at 17:00 near the prime minister’s residence.
Mitzpe Kramim is a neighborhood that was approved by the government in 2000 to be located at its present site, as part of the overall plan of its mother community, Kochav HaShahar. In 2011, a petition was served to the High Court in which it was claimed that part of the community was established on private land. It is important to note that the petitioners do not claim that they are the owners of the land, but only that the land is “privately owned”.
On Monday, one day before the elections for Knesset, the state will serve its legal position regarding the future of Mitzpe Kramim to the High Court. People of Mitzpe Kramim request that the matter not be settled by means of destruction, and therefore they are seeking public awareness and support. It is important to visit the protest tent and come to the rally.
