Pidyon Kaparot- Redemption/Atonement through Kaparot

Share

The custom of Kaparot before Yom Kipur is an ancient custom among the People of Israel. The Ari, z”l, (Rabbi Yitzhak Luria) was extremely meticulous in its performance. “The period of Kaparot is a time of grace, when mercy is increased”  (HaAri  z”l, Gate of Kavanot)

Some sages have said that it is preferable to perform this redemption/ atonement with charity.

Dear Friends,

We call on you to donate your pidyon kaparot  charity  to Oz veGaon in order  to increase Torah at the site, in order to increase the Jewish presence at the site, in order to strengthen our hold onto more places in the Land of Israel.

Oz veGaon, in Judea, in the heart of Gush Etsion, between Jerusalem and Hebron,  exists thanks to your donations. Many small donations from many great people who understand that the battle today is over every millimeter of the Land of Israel.

America, the UN, and the entire world all desire for Israel not to grow, G-d forbid.

We have succeeded, thanks to your donations, to become stronger, to develop and to make progress in Oz veGaon for the past two years . We must continue to strengthen, to guard and to grow.

Along with holding on to the Land, we also continue with our promotion of the campaign to apply sovereignty, also thanks to your donations.

May it be the will of the Almighty that our fulfillment of the commandment of Kaparot will serve to guard our Holy Land, guard you and all members of your household and may you be written and sealed for a good year, life, happiness and peace.
